Main house on the Gottlieb and Christina Raile homestead northwest of St. Francis, Kansas. The house was originally made of rock and some sod.
When Gottlieb and Christina Raile arrived in northwest Kansas, they found flat treeless land. They built their home and farm buildings with abundant rocks available from nearby creeks.
